What's the difference between highlights, Foilayage and balayage?

Highlighted hair shows the contrast between lightened hair and natural base from root to end.

Balayage is an open-air painting technique (no foils) that delivers subtle sunkissed results. Hair usually would lighten 1-3 shades.

Foilayage is a balayage in foils. Hair usually would lighten more than a traditional balayage.

What is a shadow root?

A shadow root helps blur any harsh line between natural growth and lightened hair. Our gloss refresh usually include a shadow root if needed.

How much is hair extension?

For fullness on average you can expect to invest around $300-$500. For lengthening service, on average you can expect to invest around $800-$2400

Why don't we carry hair in salon?

We work with a variety of brands and types. Color ranges from Ombre, Balayage to Natural series. Because every head requires different length, color, and method, we opt to custom order the hair extension for your custom look.

When does the hair get delivered?

Most of our hair deliveries arrive within 2-3 business days. We recommend to plan your consultation 2-4 weeks in advance.

What is a gloss refresh?

A gloss (toner) refresh is a service we offer in between lightening services to maintain your hair color.

How often should I use purple shampoo?

Purple shampoo should only be used once every 2-3 weeks.

How often should I get my hair trimmed?

To keep it healthy and prevent split ends, our stylists recommend getting a trim every 3 months.

Is hair extension damaging?

The short answer is no. The extension itself is not damaging when installed correctly along with proper home care.

What is Brazilian Blowout?

Brazilian Blowout is a professional grade, in-salon smoothing treatment that targets frizzy, dry, and/or compromised hair. The treatment softens and fortifies the hair strand by strand to help lock in necessary moisture and prevent further damage.

The investment starting point ranges anywhere from $300 up to $3000 on average and could be more depending on the look you're going for.

HOW TO CARE FOR EXTENSION?

It is not much more than your ordinary hair routine. You would still brush, wash, style, and protect your hair with sufficient amount of moisture and heat protectant for optimal longevity.

WHAT CAN EXTENSION HELP WITH?

Besides full length transformations, extension can also be used to fill in your hairline and the sides or back of your hair for fullness. Ask your specialist for more information.

HOW LONG DOES HAIR EXTENSION LAST?

The hair itself can last anywhere from 6 months to 1 year depending on homecare and maintenance schedule. Homecare is just as important as your maintenance in the salon.

WHAT IS THE MAINTENANCE LIKE?

Clients with normal shedding and normal density will come back for a move-up every 5-6 weeks and restitch will be 5-6 weeks after move-up.

Clients with finer density or heavy shedding will come back for a restitch every 5-6 weeks.

Your specialist will determine your maintenance schedule after assessing your density and shedding.

CAN I SWIM WITH EXTENSION?

Short answer is yes, you can swim with extension but to protect the hair you will need to take extra precaution steps to ensure no matting or tangling of the hair. Consult with your specialist for more information.
