Premium K-Tip extensions can easily last a year or more when cared for properly. Here's the exact routine we teach every K-Tip client at their install appointment.
Wash
Sulfate-free, silicone-free shampoo and conditioner only. Wash 1–3 times per week — never daily. Shampoo the scalp; let suds run through the mid-lengths. Never scrub the bond row.
Brush
A loop brush is your best friend. Start at the ends and work up in sections, supporting the roots with your other hand.
Sleep
Braid or low-pony before bed. A silk pillowcase drastically reduces friction and tangling.
Style
Heat protectant on every use. Tools at or below 350°F. Never touch heat directly to a keratin bond.
When to book your moveup
Every 8–10 weeks. Waiting longer causes matting at the root that becomes painful to comb out.
